The Cook Islands National Women’s 7s team are the final women’s team confirmed for the UON Central Coast Sevens Kinesio Cup Tournament.
The side currently looking to qualify for the Commonwealth Games will be primed under top quality coaching staff with head coach former Black Fern Crystal Kaua stating “The CC7s is a great opportunity to get quality game time against experienced competition, it’s also a good lead into Oceania 7s two weeks later. For our Cook Island Team a lot of our time together is self funded so we have a real appreciation for any tournament time. The ladies are always humbled to wear the jersey and represent their nation and families”.
Tournament Director Craig Morgan said “we are excited to welcome the Cook Islands team to the Central Coast Sevens, it is an indication of the quality of the tournament with the number of national teams lining up to compete and we are in for one of the most exciting tournaments in the events history, the Cook Islands are a great addition and will no doubt be highly skilled”.
