The UON Central Coast Sevens youth tournament will see the next generation of Sevens stars with the full compliment of teams now confirmed with the announcement that the Lloyd McDermott National Indigenous Teams will round out the field of teams in both boys and girls events.
The inaugural youth event will see eight teams across both boys and girls events in the under 17s age bracket to fit with the current youth pathway.
A strong lineup of teams including club sides, schools, provincial representatives and an international presence in both divisions with teams from New Zealand and Fiji set to compete.

The draw and pool allocation will be announced soon with the youth tournament providing a great opportunity for domestic participants to contest a high level tournament under the watchful eye of state and national high performance units keen to unearth the future stars of Sevens.
The tournament will be utilised by New South Wales Waratahs Sevens Program Coaching Staff as a selection trial for their state sides in readiness for the national titles later in the year.
The addition of the youth tournament is seen as an important addition to the event providing the next generation valuable tournament time and the opportunity for talent identification.
The UON Central Coast Sevens Youth Tournament will take place Friday 21st October 2016 commencing a weekend of international sevens action with international men’s and women’s events taking place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October.
