Invitational side Stallions Rugby Association are the latest team confirmed for the 2017 UON Central Coast Sevens.
Stallions seek to offer a stepping stone to National and International selection opportunities with a multi cultural playing group with a strong New Zealand presence.
The team took out the Hottest 7s tournament in Darwin in January with a powerful team lead by former All Black Zac Guildford and former New Zealand 7s player Luke Masirewa and will come to the Central Coast for the first time to face what has been labelled the toughest Invitational tournament in the world.
Stallions management are confident of fielding a powerful side to match the reputation of the tournament.
Central Coast Tournament Director Craig Morgan said “we welcome Stallions to their first UON Central Coast Sevens, it will be a big test for them but they feature a strong line up of players and we anticipate they will want to bring their strongest possible side to ensure they are able to compete with some of the worlds best teams”.
The UON Central Coast Sevens will feature a youth boys and girls tournament on Friday 27th October followed by the International Men’s and Women’s tournament on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October.
