The USA based Stars Rugby 7s are set to make their return to the UON Central Coast Sevens in 2017.
Stars are set to feature in both the men’s and women’s tournaments with a number of College All Americans set to feature for the American sides.
The Stars teams have been extremely active at home and abroad and have featured a number of national level players at previous events including the CC7s on previous occasions.
Central Coast Sevens Tournament Director Craig Morgan said “we are pleased to welcome Stars Rugby 7s back to the CC7s, we are excited to see the strength of teams that the Stars will bring this year and we have no doubt they will be wanting represent America with pride against some of the worlds best teams”
Stars Rugby 7s join teams from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, China and Fiji in what is shaping as another exciting Kinesio Cup women’s tournament headlined by Olympic Gold Medal winners the Australian National Women’s Sevens team, Olympic Bronze winners Canada Maple Leafs, New Zealand Development side, Fijian national side Fijiana and the Chinese Rugby Football Association.
The UON Central Coast Sevens kicks off Friday 27th October with under 17s youth boys and girls tournaments before the international men’s and women’s event continues the action on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October.
