The State Champion Central North under 17s boys team are set to face their biggest challenge yet when they contest the UON Central Coast Sevens in October.
The side will have different combinations to the one that took out the 2016 State Championship and they will face by far their greatest level of competition with the CC7s regarded as one of the toughest invitational tournaments in the world.
Central North will need to overcome sides including defending champions the ACT Brumbies, NSW Waratahs, Fiji’s Gospel High School and a field of premier teams from clubs, schools around New South Wales.
Tournament Director Craig Morgan said “we welcome the Central North team to the tournament, this will be a great test and opportunity for the team and individual players to play against a very high level of competition in front of the state and national high performance units”.
The UON Central Coast Sevens youth tournament kicks off Friday 27th October 2017 with under 17 boys and girls tournaments followed by international men’s and women’s tournaments over the weekend of Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October where some of the best teams from around the world will clash in Australia’s premier sevens tournament outside the World Series.
